The Senior Director, Account Management leads the account management function for the Travel Nurse division by defining business growth plans for Temps On Assignment (TOA) & Order Volume, leading strategic initiatives and implementing action plans for developing and engaging leaders and team members to increase fill rate, market share, TOA, revenue, and profitability of the division and AMN Healthcare. The senior director will lead a team of account managers and lead a leader. This role will span over multiple client types including MSP, VMS and direct business relationships.

Job Tasks:

· Create projections in terms of production KPIs and create and lead implementation of action plans that address fluctuating team performance and exceed monthly revenue and operations plan.

· Review TOA targets and business plans from Team Leads and create individualized targets for leader teams. Integrate target plans with broader strategic initiatives to improve execution and results.

· Create and/or interpret and cascade enterprise-wide company goals in terms of operations plans and production expectations for department leadership to communicate & reinforce strategy.

· Implement strategies with account management teams and operations support to increase fill rate by client by interpreting fill rate performance data and analyzing competitive landscape.

· Provide executive sponsorship for key clients, resulting in Preferred relationships, MSP conversion and/or majority market share.

· Create a winning culture within the Account Management sales team, providing a balance of support and accountability matched with effective training and tools to ensure that team targets are hit or exceeded.

· Promote cohesive, effective teamwork dynamics among account management teams through coaching and feedback, fostering strong internal and cross-division communications and relationships.

· Formulate and execute ideas and solutions to overcome people, resource and competitive obstacles to achieve financial budget/plan leveraging divisional and corporate strategic initiatives.

· Create department productivity reports in terms of team production results to diagnose opportunities to improve team-level critical indicators towards optimum business outcomes.

· Track and report industry trends to achieve a competitive edge in the marketplace, by obtaining competitive intelligence (e.g. market share information) and industry practices to implement training and practices that outpace competitors.

· Leverage corporate resources, policies and structure to staff and develop engaged teams to achieve strategic and financial goals with the largest return on investment.

· Reinforce leadership development expectations by observing Directors, Managers and team members in real time, and staying current on strategies to influence measurable competency and performance growth, utilizing the Individual Development Plan & Performance Share Plan processes.

· Incorporate sophisticated talent planning methods into strategic plans to manage succession, build career paths drive engagement and deliver on service expectations.

· Create and adapt performance measures that stay current with company and industry changes by aligning metrics vertically and horizontally across organization.

· Reinforce and advocate for the talent management processes across the department to raise awareness for the value of career growth and leadership development to increase proactive action towards personal, professional and business growth.

· Implement engagement action plans through the department and division engagement survey results in partnership with Human Resources.

· Address performance and behavioral issues directly with leaders and team

· Champion new processes across multiple divisions (shared services, business and corporate) by taking holistic view of problems/opportunities while proposing value, casting vision and managing change.

· Measure the viability of process improvements and system enhancements by quantifying recommendations geared towards reducing waste and increasing business results.

· Coaches and mentors team members by observing and providing feedback to foster development and success of individual team members.

· Conducts weekly/monthly/quarterly individual meetings with team members to assess production results and consultative sales approaches to project quarterly performance and discusses team member obstacles and dynamics.

· Exercises a cost-containment approach to increase efficiency and impact gross profit.

· Evaluates daily and weekly team member production according to top grading criteria and to mentor and implement action plans using the performance improvement plan process.

· Manage escalated client situations on behalf of team members to preserve loyalty and market share.

· Partner with internal customer teams (including program management, payroll, billing, etc.) to maintain relationships in support of our most strategic clients.

Minimum Education/Certifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience:

· 5+ years management experience in healthcare staffing

· 4 - 6 years sales experience in the service industry and/or recruiting experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
  • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate

$101,000 - $126,000 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.

This position may include additional compensation such as bonus or commission.  Please ask your recruiter for more information.
