As a Registered Nurse (RN) Registered Nurse (RN) in the Bronchoscopy Department, you will provide care to pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patients, following established standards, department guidelines and hospital policies and procedures. The RN will use their strong assessment and critical thinking skills to collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide the best outcomes for each patient. This role plays an integral part in ensuring patient advocacy and safety.

The hours of this full-time position are primarily four 10-hour shifts per week, 7am-5:30pm.  No call or weekend requirements. 

Required qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

•              A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR OF RECENT RN EXPERIENCE IN A PROCEDURAL DEPARTMENT, PERIOPERATIVE DEPARTMENT, OR CRITICAL CARE DEPARTMENT IS REQUIRED.

•              Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.

•              Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).

•              Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.

•              Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

•              Can critically think and problem-solve for patients’ best interests

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
