Job Description

This is a salaried position that works 8 hours per day M-F, and is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 1 day per week on the Lurie Campus.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of RN practice experience to be considered for an interview. Experience working with Vendor Mate and Med Surg, Surgical or ICU clinical practice experience highly desired.

1. Interacts with the clinicians performing the departmental tasks to identify improvement opportunities and to develop /implement continuous quality improvement process regarding supply/labor practices, and recommends standardization opportunities. 2. Contributor to all multidisciplinary Value Analysis Committees, in the identification, evaluation and selection of products to promote standardization and cost savings for all supplies and equipment throughout the Medical Center. 3. Prepares financial analysis of all new product requests for consideration of product conversions, cost savings targets and Value Analysis Committee review and approval. 4. Regularly participates in the preparation of all Value Analysis meeting materials, including but not limited to agendas, minutes, and expedited approval workflow processes for all committee meetings. Ensures all applicable analysis and follow ups are complete prior to each meeting. 5. Performs the clinical vetting of all potential new products by conducting a thorough financial analysis, prompting in-depth evaluation of product by clinicians and presentation to the Medical Centers Value Analysis Committee for review and approval. 6. Facilitates key aspects of the product conversion process in collaboration with other supply chain professionals ensuring initiatives are closed out timely and accurately. 7. Actively participates and communicates with Medical Staff and clinical staff to monitor, communicate, and make improvements to utilization profiling. Collaborates with Clinicians in identifying and implementing improvements and standardization measures, and continuously verifies process improvements. 8. Maintains and communicates financial and performance measures as gauge of standardization/utilization success. 9. Actively assesses Value Analysis process and provides process improvement ideas as needed. 10. Demonstrates proficiency in Material Management and Supply Chain knowledge. 11. Manage and maintain Recalled product responses. 12. Other job functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, RN; MBA preferred.
2. Required: Two-five years progressive work experience in Supply Chain or clinical practice experience. Healthcare experience required.
3. Required: Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations.
4. Required: Experience in planning, Value Analysis process flow, purchasing decision making and outcome evaluation.
5. Required: Working knowledge of clinical and surgical supply and SKU maintenance processes, as well as of utilization and productivity in a variety of clinical settings.
6. Required: Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft windows operating system and applications.
7. Required: Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Ability to articulate facts and ideas clearly and concisely. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and clearly articulate potential solutions.
8. Required: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Capable of working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, group process facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution while interacting with all levels of the organization.
9. Required: Excellent facilitation and project management skills. Ability to manage assigned projects to specified budget and time line with minimal supervision. Must be able to prioritize, organize and assess work in order to meet aggressive deadlines and cope in fast-paced environment.
10. Required: Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to patient health information (PHI) or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
11. Preferred: Proficiency in Infor-Lawson with an emphasis in Supply Chain business systems.

Pay Range

$65,520.00-$107,120.00 Salary
