Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Application Engineers, customers, and sales teams to define needs or opportunities in the form of Functional Requirements, Constraints, and Evaluation Criteria.
- Adhere to Freudenberg’s Technology Innovation Process and advanced design methods such as Design for Six Sigma, Robust Design, and DFX to develop innovative design concepts. Brainstorming sessions and teamwork are integral in this process.
- Evaluate concepts and select best options to develop into detailed design.
- Utilize CAD, CAE, simulations, computational mathematics, AI, and data processing in collaboration with company resources to find optimal designs.
- Utilize computational mathematics and AI programming skills to enhance the product design process.
- Build sub-systems and partial prototypes as needed to evaluate performance. Construct full prototypes when warranted. Work with the product testing lab to design protocols and procedures for performance evaluation tests. JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW
- Regularly review test results with the testing team, customers, and other stakeholders to refine the process continually.
- As the design evolves, collaborate with cross-functional downstream teams to ensure manufacturability and scale-up.
- Follow Freudenberg’s HSE protocols at all times.
- Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and project updates to various levels in the organization.
Qualifications:
- Working towards a BS or MS degree in related engineering fields such as Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
- Ability to readily learn and grasp new concepts in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication in English (both verbal and written) and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in AI for design solutions.
- Experience in product design, development, and battery testing. Skilled in basic manufacturing techniques, electric vehicles, data collection, and lab practices.
- Proficient in using computational mathematics and AI for design solutions, simulations, and prototyping.
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing systems, quality control, metrology, cost analysis, project management, and timely delivery.
