Job Description

The Gundersen Health System is looking for a full-time Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a multi-disciplinary Patient Centered care team in Tomah, which integrates family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics. This is a 1.0 FTE, outpatient only position working 35 direct patient care hours, between 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday. This position will be responsible for overseeing their own patient panel.

Practice Highlights:

  • MD-APC shared practice model
  • Well and acute care as well as chronic medical management

The current Tomah Medical Staff includes:

  • Two full-time and two part-time family physicians
  • Part-time general internist
  • full-time pediatrician
  • two full-time and one part-time family practice physician assistants
  • one full time and one part-time nurse practitioners 
  • one full-time integrated behavioral health clinician (Psychologist)
  • one full-time general surgeons
  • full-time general surgeon physician assistant
  • part time obstetrician/gynecology surgeon
  • two certified nurse midwives
  • full-time orthopedic surgeon
  • two full-time orthopedic physician assistants
  • full-time podiatrist
  • full-time podiatry nurse practitioner

In addition, the Tomah Clinic also provides outreach clinics for cardiology, pediatric cardiology, peds orthopedics, nephrology and occupational health.

The Gundersen Tomah Clinic practices state-of-the art medicine and connects you with the entire Gundersen Health System with its digital radiology, telemedicine and a system-wide integrated electronic medical record (Epic.)  The clinic has full lab and imaging services, including digital/3Dmammography.  Gundersen Health System has long been committed to medical education and public service.  The Tomah Clinic serves as a site for the University of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine (WARM) third- and fourth-year students as well as GHS FM residents.
