Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is looking for a PRN Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our evening shift lab team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to process specimens, perform rapid PCR/kit testing, read gram stains from a variety of sources. Our lab is a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team with diverse backgrounds and experience levels, which ensures our vision of being “The best place to get care. The Work :   

Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR 

Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection 

Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections 

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist that is confident in their skills, patient-focused, positive-minded, and willing to go above and beyond for their patients and peers. We are looking for professionals who are able to multi-task, a need to stay busy, and able to change directions quickly.
