Responsibilities

·Assist the Engine Life Management Team (ELMT) to perform data collection on engine components for engine investigations, salvaged programs

·Help trend hardware distress locally to identify needed limits/repairs and input to spare provisioning based on observed distress trending.

·Research operating environments and functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop repairs which will return damaged parts back to service.

·Support the daily activities in Reverse Engineering Lab.

·Assist the team on Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) and Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) Program.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines 
• Ability to understand and follow standard operation procedures (SOP)
• A positive and learning mindset
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Interests in data analysis as well as repair processes.
• Some basic IT knowledge and proficient in programming languages is a plus

Learning Outcome

·Knowledge of various Engine components

·Use of various inspection tool for inspecting the engine components

·Student involved in this process will gain working knowledge of engines, metrology and repair writing

·Pratt and Whitney operating system, CORE & EH&S tools
