Job Summary: 

Contributes to developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems for the Company. This will be accomplished by developing, applying, revising, and improving quality standards by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, and supporting continuous improvement projects. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provides Quality Group metrics to senior staff at regular intervals.  Works closely with design and manufacturing groups to define process improvements and ensures compliance to new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing processes.  

  • Works cross-functionally on documentation to improve procedures and workflows via process audits. 

  • Works with contracts and program management to review Quality clauses during RFQs and new purchase orders 

  • Provides support and hosts customer audits.  The candidate will also support supplier audits and ISO certification audits. 

  • Drive quality improvement not limited to: 

  • Zero Defect Philosophy 

  • Apply risk mitigation and FMEA tools to increase yields 

  • Improve Supplier KPIs 

  • Develop new ideas for metrics and implement through a quality dashboard 

  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.  

  • Works root cause corrective actions and performs verification to prevent recurrence. 

  • Support MRB/TRB/Change requests on a weekly basis as needed. 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be a US Citizen 

  • Proven leadership and effective oral communication skills 

  • An understanding of root cause corrective action (RCCA) 

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems: ISO9001, AS9100, and other related systems 

  • Able to deal with multiple issues simultaneously and have the awareness of setting priorities. 

  • Must have good Engineering skills regarding machining, tolerancing, reading source control drawings and general electrical engineering skills. 

Ability to implement problem solving plans by applying pareto, cause and effect, FMEA, control plans, or utilizing other tools resulting in producing high quality products.
