Timely Evaluations: You’ll evaluate patients within 24 hours or one business day of physician referral—because you know that early intervention leads to the best outcomes! If there’s ever a delay, you’ll document and keep everything transparent in the medical records.
Collaborative Care: You’ll work closely with physicians to develop and approve individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will help guide the treatment, ensuring it’s always in line with the physician’s plan, and you’ll make a real difference in the lives of patients.
Leadership and Supervision: You’ll have the opportunity to supervise Speech Language Pathologist Assistants in their patient care and activities, ensuring they are aligned with state practice guidelines. Your leadership will inspire and guide the team to deliver exceptional care.
Be Part of a Team: You won’t be working in isolation! You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating closely with supervisors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to discuss patient progress, plans, and any challenges.

View Orignal JOB on: nursingjobs.siteYou’ll have the chance to share your knowledge by participating in in-service training programs, helping other staff members at the facility grow and learn about the latest in speech therapy techniques.Dynamic Documentation: You’ll be responsible for recording evaluations, treatment notes, progress updates, and recertifications—always in accordance with the Speech and Language Pathology Board State Practice Act and payer requirements. Your documentation will help improve patient care and support the team in achieving great results.
Caregiver Empowerment: You’ll work with patients' families and nursing staff to teach valuable skills for maintaining progress post-therapy. Whether it's family training or developing maintenance programs, you’ll empower others to help patients maintain and build upon their gains after discharge.
Mentorship Opportunities: You’ll have the chance to act as a clinical preceptor for clinical fellows and students, shaping the next generation of Speech Language Pathologists through guidance and mentorship. What a rewarding opportunity to share your knowledge and grow the profession!
Discharge Planning and Mobility: As part of your care coordination, you’ll also play an important role in discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition for patients leaving therapy. Plus, you'll recommend durable medical equipment, such as communication aids, to help improve patients' independence in their daily lives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: A Doctorate or Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, with a passion for helping others communicate and thrive.
- License: You must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the state, and stay on top of continuing education requirements to keep your license in good standing.
- Tech-savvy: Proficiency with systems like Casamba and Point Click Care, to keep documentation smooth and efficient.
- Great Communicator: You’ll need to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and other professionals to provide excellent care. Your ability to listen, understand, and explain treatment plans will make you stand out.
- Leadership: Ability to supervise and guide Speech Language Pathologist Assistants and students, helping them develop professionally while delivering excellent patient care.
Physical Demands:
- You'll be standing, walking, and using your hands frequently. You’ll help patients with mobility and communication exercises and may lift heavy equipment when necessary.
- Your work will involve clear vision and strong hearing abilities to assess patient needs and communicate effectively.

Summary of Benefits
We are proud to offer our staff low monthly premium payments for employees and dependents will be as follows:

Generous paid time off for vacation accruing at 4 hours a month, 48 FT or 40 PT annually recurring sick day hours prorated based on hire date, and 7 paid Holidays each year.

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour depending on experience and education.
