Job Description

HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment with complex acuities.

Registered Nurses (RNs) in the Critical Care setting are incredibly important members of the medical team who have the humbling task of caring for our sickest and most vulnerable patients. RNs not only provide high-quality medical care, but they also provide a healing touch and a compassionate presence to patients and their families during joyful, stressful and uncertain times.

Position Specifics:

  • Department: Emergency Room.  Must be comfortable handling a variety of patients from trauma/high acuity, behavioral health, newborns, end of life, bending/lifting/standing, etc.
  • Schedule: Full-Time Nights (3x12 6:45pm-7:15am) with every other weekend rotation

  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Bachelors-Nursing-Preferred

Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare is preferred.  Previous ER experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent critical thinking skills.

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required based on the patient population in the specialty area worked.
  • Specialty certifications based on patient population such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred.

Pay Range:

$32.00 - $48.00

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
