Casual Registered Nurse - Mildura VIC (iqvia)

Job Description

IQVIA has a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Mildura Victoria open to casual employment in community Nursing.

We currently have patients requiring training in the home for the treatment of primary immunodeficiency (up to 3 sessions).

Sub-Cutaneous infusion training ranges from a 45min infusion to a 4 hour infusion with different rates depending on infusion time and dose, which is patient-specific

This is a national in-home program that is used to teach patients, or their carers, on how to self-infuse their medication. Most clinics provide patients with an infusion pump. Some patients will require a syringe push for delivery of their medication.

The nurse is required to:
• Confirm each visit with patient
• Take provided consumables to the patient’s home - usually mask and gloves as all other consumables are with the patient
• Set up and conduct the infusion in a location that is suitable and comfortable for the patient
• Complete post infusion paperwork within 24 hours of visit
• Reporting of any adverse events as per program protocol

Essential:

• RN (Current Registration)
• Current Basic Life Support Certificate/CPR Certificate
• Current/ full/ unrestricted driver’s licence
• Hand Hygiene Certificate & Infection Prevention Control Certificate
• Police Check & Working with Children Check
• IT Proficient
• Flexible with time and days
• Fully vaccinated again Covid-19

Desirable:

• Community nursing experience
• Porta Cath, fistula, PICC line experience
