Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Employment Coordination:
Coordinate and participate in staff recruitment and hiring processes.
Manage employment documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
Oversee payroll and employee benefit programs.
Training & Education:
Develop and implement an in-service education program, including assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation.
Prepare an annual in-service training schedule and maintain a monthly training calendar.
Maintain records of all training sessions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Utilize feedback from Licensing and Certification Surveys, employee evaluations, and facility assessments to determine training needs.
Ensure staff competency through education on nursing skills and facility protocols.
Emergency & Disaster Preparedness:
Plan, conduct, and document fire drills, internal disaster drills, and external mass casualty drills.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
Compliance & Regulatory Duties:
Complete all required Department of Health documentation for training and education programs.
Participate in facility inspections and surveys conducted by government agencies.
Maintain confidentiality of all employee and resident information.
Supervisory & Staff Relations:
Supervise and support staff, implementing disciplinary measures as needed.
Foster a positive and professional work environment.
Make facility rounds to observe patient care and provide guidance.

Infection Control & Patient Care:
Coordinate infection control surveillance programs.
Provide direct patient care as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a valid RN or LVN/LPN license.
BSN preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience in a long-term care facility.
At least one (1) year of experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing.
Preferably two (2) or more years of experience in a long-term care facility.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures, policies, and manuals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting information and responding to staff inquiries.
Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to interpret various forms of instructions.
Certifications & Licenses:
Current RN or LVN/LPN license.
CPR certification.
Knowledge and experience with PCC (PointClickCare) preferred.
Compliance with all continuing education and licensing requirements.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting.
Frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently.
Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work environment noise level is typically low to moderate.
