Performs effectively as IT security intern in healthcare environment. Gains the necessary knowledge and ability to assist IT security staff with daily operations, initiatives, and projects. Assist project managers and stakeholders to complete IT security related tasks. Expectation for intern program completion is three months.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:High school diploma or GED.
Experience:One year of previous IT experience. Previous training in personal computing or networking preferred.
Other Credentials:
Knowledge and Skills:Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of database and word processing software. Excellent customer support skills.
Special Training:Possesses ability to understand and problem solve end users' computer and technical needs.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:Has a friendly demeanor. Has ability to juggle multiple assignments as needed.
Usual Work Day:8 Hours
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Does this position formally supervise employees? No

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides technical and security support for all in-house and satellite locations, microcomputer systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
- Meets with current and potential system users for the purpose of determining technical needs.
- Evaluates current resources and determines technical solutions.
- Escalates support as needed and timely to fully restore system functionality.
- Trains end users in the use of new hardware and/or software.
- Adheres to Capital Health's behavior and other related performance standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
