The Wireless Platform Group (WPG) Product Engineering (PE) team are seeking a motivated, experienced

intern to provide support to our WPG PE team located at ADI’s European headquarters in Limerick. WPG enable communications worldwide by produced industry leading highly integrated systems on chip servicing applications such as 3G/4G/5G TDD/FDD small cell, massive MIMO and macro base stations. You will join a team responsible for a product or group of products from product definition through production, release and support. From RF to bits and back again! 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  

  • Characterization of pre-release silicon encompassing the total solution including analog, digital, and firmware algorithms. 

  • Work with design, systems, software, and applications engineering to gather the data needed for hardware release and supporting datasheet. 

  • Develop verification and characterization test plans and develop the software required to automate the data collection process. 

  • Perform lab analysis and evaluation of new silicon and software, working with a multi-functional team to identify and correct functional and parametric problems. 

  • Responsible for taking silicon and ARM software from early development stage to full production release. 

  • Responsible for developing and operating an RF-centric characterization bench. 

Minimum qualifications  

  • Working towards BS in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering 

  • Desire to obtain understanding of communication systems and standards. 

  • Highly skilled in debug of issues. 

  • Knowledge of programming languages (for example Labview, C# and Teststand) 

  • Strong communication skills are required. 

  • Intelligence, enthusiasm, and a solid work ethic are extremely valuable for this position. 

Preferred qualifications  

  • Working towards BS in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering
