The Automotive Network Application Team is seeking a motivated Application Engineer for a college placement to provide support to our, automotive Cabin Experience Business Unit, the position is located in ADI’s Limerick. The Automotive Network Application Team of 15 members, is based across 4 locations Munich, Valencia, Bangalore & Limerick, with 7 members of the team based in Limerick. Within our roles we support customer engagements and internal project activities, focusing on system development, ranging from board design & debug, software development, simulation tools, collateral development, schematic & layout reviews, system demonstrator builds, reference platform development etc… 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  

  • Working at part of the networks application team supporting automotive customers to design in our newest technology, based on automotive Ethernet {10BASE-T1S Ethernet to Edge Bus (E2BTM)} 
  • Support the system development with the ADI AD330x products, MACPHY & E2B (low complexity engine) 
  • Supporting legacy video products, C2B (Car Camera Bus), HDMI, MHL, MIPI,  
  • Support E2B project development for current & next generation products (investigation into automotive domain areas, investigation into techniques used in the automotive system development) 
  • Development of collateral based on lab and simulation testing to guide a customer in a development of a system solution using ADI’s E2B products. 
  • Development of software to support existing products or expand the feature set for customer engagements.   
  • Investigating on how our technology can be used in a specific automotive vehicle network to meet a domain challenge 

Minimum qualifications  

  • Working towards qualification in Electronic or Computer engineering degree / masters  
  • Good knowledge of engineering principals   
  • Good knowledge of software principals (languages used within the team, C, Python) 
  • Good knowledge of circuit design
