About the unit 

Our team consists of Nurse Educators, Clinical Operations Specialists and Specialty Triage. We support all of the Ambulatory practices and have a mix of system work along with service line work & projects.

About Outpatient Clinics 

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work 

The Clinical Operations Specialist partners with leaders and ambulatory teams to identify, develop, manage, and implement clinical operational change and process improvement initiatives. They contribute the clinical lens necessary for strong clinical practice through process improvement in the ambulatory setting. Clinical Operations Specialists employ diverse strategies to support alignment to best practice standards as outlined by various governing bodies and approved of through clinical governance at Corewell Health West.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration or related field; BSN strongly preferred

  • Master's Degree Nursing Education or Adult Education preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience ambulatory or acute care experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience project/program leadership
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan required upon hire
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
