The finance department is an excellent area for an intern interested in the financial aspects of healthcare. We have a wide variety of departments that we work with including the Fargo Medical Center and Clinics as well as our rural hospitals and clinics. As a dynamic department we assist with budgeting, ROI, monthly reports and analysis among other projects. We work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. We assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Our intern would assist in project work that the Finance Team is doing to support Fargo's strategic and operational goals and measures, as well as assist in process improvements that the Finance Team is looking to refine.
Some examples of projects include:
- ODB Analysis and Reporting Roll Out to Operations
- Outreach Analysis Reporting Optimization
- Strategic Capital Needs Assessments to be used for prioritization
- Supply Inventory Account Process Optimization

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
