Responsibilities for each team:

1. Asset Allocation

The team is seeking an intern who will focus on applied investment research in the fields of quantitative finance, asset allocation, global macro strategies, risk premia, factor strategies and portfolio construction. The successful candidate is expected to work on selected projects spanning multiple asset classes such as global equities, fixed income, credit, commodities, currencies, and alternative investments. 

  • Perform empirical research using economic and financial data, applying regression and statistical analysis, building valuation and forecasting models for multiple asset classes, and back-testing of actionable investment strategies.
  • Partner with research analysts within Solutions to support investment research agenda.
  • Support research agenda outlined by senior management, following macro and quantitative research from sell- side firms, central banks, multilateral institutions and academic journals.
  • Support the automation and streamlining of existing spreadsheets/processes.

2. Audit Analytics

  • Acquire, transform, enrich, and analyze asset management data supporting risk and control assessment, and portfolio analysis activities within the context of internal audit procedures.
  • Design, build, and maintain analytical tools tailored to the specific needs of asset management internal audit, supporting individual tasks such as evaluating internal controls, detecting risks, and conducting compliance testing within the asset management industry.
  • Develop and maintain programming code, and data sets specialized for asset management internal audit, enabling ongoing analytics activities such as assessing control effectiveness, and conducting data-driven audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Enterprise Risk Analytics leadership team and other leaders across Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit, with a focus on asset management-related internal audit initiatives.

3. Compliance

  • Assist in conducting market abuse and trade surveillance activities across the APAC region.JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW
  • Support the execution of thematic and risk-based compliance reviews within the APAC region.
  • Support the implementation of global and regional business and compliance initiatives throughout APAC.
  • Assist in preparing management information reports and presentation materials for regional and global compliance stakeholders and governance bodies.
  • Provide support for any ad-hoc activities as directed by the Head of Compliance Monitoring and Central Compliance, APAC.
  • Direct exposure to senior compliance professionals across APAC Compliance.

4. Corporate Accounting

  • Intercompany related matters - expense recharges review.
  • Health check - revenue and fee rates, billing and accounts receivable process.
  • Real Estate business revenue review.
  • Process improvement review - procedure manual.
  • Reconciliations - balance sheet related items.
  • Ad hoc requests.

5. Global Market Strategy

  • Work closely with the team on various tasks including modeling/analysis 
  • Conducting primary research.
  • Attending internal/external stakeholder meetings.
  • Responsibilities which are conducted regularly (daily, weekly, etc.) while others will be longer-term projects that will continue over the internship period.

6. Internal Auditor

  • Responsible for conducting internal audits and projects. 
  • The audit work will require obtaining an understanding of the areas under review, performing the audit work and documenting the results.
  • Executing and evaluating the design of key controls.
  • Identify internal control weaknesses and inefficiencies.

7. Legal

  • Support the legal team of Invesco Hong Kong Limited in connection with (i) the ongoing support of existing fund products, including private equity, real estate funds, mutual funds as well as registered UCITS; (ii) internal restructurings and related matters; (iii) the launch of new fund products and dealings with investors; (iv) registration of offshore funds in Hong Kong and registration of Hong Kong domiciled funds in China under the MRF regime; and (v) downstream investment transactions, including real estate investments, joint ventures and private equity investments;
  • Provide general support and assistance with the preparation of documentation, regulatory applications and filings and correspondence under the direction of members of the Legal Department, including simple drafting, proof-reading and research;
  • Handle other tasks as may be delegated from members of the Legal team from time to time.

8. Performance Measurement

  • Segregated Account Performance Measurement;
  • Mutual Funds Performance Measurement (e.g. MPF);
  • Performance analysis (includes performance attribution analysis);
  • MPT Statistics & Data analytics;
  • Peer Group Ranking analysis;
  • GIPS compositing;
  • Other supports as required by the manager.

9. Trading

  • Rotate through the Equity, Fixed Income and Derivatives Trading desks.
  • Work on ad hoc projects.
  • Write market color and individual stock color.
  • Analyze data.
  • Help with presentations.

10. Marketing

(a) Digital Marketing

  • Supporting data analysis and creating dashboards/reports to measure the efficiency of digital marketing efforts.
  • Helping capture and analyze data for campaign performance, including tracking KPIs and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Contributing to marketing efforts by creating simple resources or guides on analytics fundamentals.
  • Assisting with the development of analytics features and frameworks to enhance go-to-market strategies.

(b) Product Marketing

  • Content writing for investor education series.   
  • Work with our Taiwan team on website layout and video production.
  • Proof-read website content and videos carefully before they go live. 
  • Update existing fund marketing materials with updated data.  
  • Generate ideas for thematic content to prompt mutual funds.

(c) RFP Marketing

  • Assist RFP writers in refreshing firm level and product specific Q&As (in various Asian languages) in the global content management platform. 
  • Partner with RFP writers in developing/updating standard RFPs for focus funds.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams like Compliance, Legal, HR and Database, etc. in completing simple RFP/DDQ requests.
  • Assist on the RFP Automation Project by building templates and gathering required responses and data.
  • Arrange translation with external agencies and provide administrative support to the team as required.

Requirement

  • Minimum completion of 2nd year of Bachelors’ degree in related discipline.
  • Good communication and language skills in English and Chinese. 
  • Very familiar with MS office applications.
  • Knowledge in computer programming language is a plus.
  • Meticulous and strong attention to details.
  • Quick and eager to build knowledge of the asset management business and products.
  • Experience in managing projects would be highly valued.
