Analytics Reporting Intern

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an Analytics Reporting Intern to support cross-functional teams by executing key reporting tasks and providing valuable insights. This role will be responsible for preparing and maintaining reporting documents, ensuring data accuracy, and leveraging analytics to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Assist cross-functional teams with monthly reporting preparation.

  • Conduct quality checks on reports and data to ensure accuracy.

  • Perform ad hoc analyses based on team needs.

  • Collaborate with the Knowledge Centre and offshore teams to manage reporting processes.

  • Work extensively with Acubia Data, a key vendor-provided data source for analytics.

  • Analyze Sales Force Incentives, including data extraction, filtering, and processing to track actual script volumes against targets at the territory level.

  • Execute Product Demand Forecasting for key meetings.

  • Generate monthly PowerPoint reports (e.g., Market Share %MS, External Insights EI) for Monthly Performance Reviews (MPR).

  • Support reporting for key brands using Patient Support Program (PSP) data.

  • Coordinate and quality-check Sales Force Incentives (SFI) reporting.

  • Manage and quality-check weekly TRx reports before distribution.

  • Use data sources such as IQVIA IAM, RxDynamicsSOB, Power BI, CBID, and ViiV Canada Power BI to address stakeholder inquiries.

  • Maintain and improve BI Team processes, training procedures, and key documentation.

  • Support special projects aligned with the intern’s interests and GSK ViiV’s business priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Business and/or Science degree (3rd or 4th year minimum). Advanced degrees (MBA, MSc, PhD, MBiotech) are an asset.
  • Experience in data analytics, commercial pharmaceuticals, or pharma systems/databases is an asset.
  • Ability to synthesize large data sets and present key insights effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and influencing skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Highly agile learner with a solution-based mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas, data manipulation).
  • PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to improving processes and supporting teams.
