Position Description:
The Early Learning Campus participates in the USDA/CACFP Federal Food Program. The Dietary Assistant will primarily assist with washing dishes, placing food into measured serving bowls, and helping to maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen according to Metro Louisville Health Department standards. The Dietary Assistant first reports to the Dietary Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Wash dishes using a commercial machine and three-compartment sink.
Help maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen according to Metro Louisville Health Department standards, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash or compost.
Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack according to FFP guidelines.
Accept deliveries of food and inventory from food service vendor.
Pick up daily lunch counts from classrooms and assist in completion of reporting as required by the
Federal Food Program.
After completing kitchen duties, assist in childcare classrooms.
Complete at least 15 hours of state-approved childcare training each year in accordance with Kentucky Regulations. Follow regulatory and NAEYC requirements.
If time permits, the Dietary Assistant will also assist with other duties as assigned.
Kentucky State Licensing requires all new staff to complete 6 hours of childcare orientation within the first 90 days of employment and complete a total of 15 hours of state-approved training each year before hire date anniversary.
Preferred Qualifications
Food service or childcare experience.

Target Compensation Maximum:
$22.51Target Compensation Minimum:
$15.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
