Key Accountabilities
Plans for the provision of nursing care that is delivered to target and that achieves goals and objectives.
Oversees clinical quality of care and assures it is delivered to standard, delivering top decile performance.
Effectively rounds on leaders, team members and physicians to assure a constant state/cycle of performance improvement, closes loops, achieves finality, and keeps commitments; is visible and known to staff, physicians, and all stake holders.
Achieves engagement results which demonstrate the lifeInspired movement of ThedaCare is present as evidenced by movement to top decile engagement results.
Achieves financial targets as they relate to growth by achieving annual strategic planning/growth objectives.
Achieves financial targets as it relates to the mission and stewardship in the management of expense budgets including labor management.
Provides strategic planning, program development and overall operational administration for the nursing service.
Effectively leads the team and nursing in a manner that is consistent with the ThedaCare lifeInspired movement, policies, and values.
Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the hospital and system.
Develops, implements, and monitors for achievement the nursing strategic plan and other business plans that impact professional nursing practice and operations.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing required
Eight years of progressive responsibility in leadership. Represented by management and director level experience in acute care. Minimally ten years of leadership experience is required as is previous experience as a director or equivalent.
Prefer experience in a matrixed environment and with dyad or triad working teams is preferred
Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
Physical Demands
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
