The Team:

The MI Data Privacy & Compliance team is a newly formed group operating in the dynamic and rapidly evolving field of privacy. As privacy becomes a global focus, S&P Global recognizes the need for compliance in the use and governance of personal data.

The Impact:

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in data privacy, compliance, and governance. You will collaborate with legal, technology, and business teams to support key projects, streamline workflows, and help safeguard personal data.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Learn about key privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and CRPA.
  • Assist in Websourcing workflow, process documentation, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Support the execution of Data Retention/Record Retention projects.
  • Explore opportunities and solutions for workflow automation and process improvements.
  • Assist in reviewing and documenting Data Privacy Assessments.
  • Help create reports and track privacy metrics.
  • Contribute to building an inventory of AI activities for privacy compliance.
  • Support privacy managers in technical projects using Agile & Scrum methodologies.
  • Document privacy workflows and assist in developing team instructions.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Interest in data privacy, compliance, and governance.
  • Basic project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn about privacy regulations and AI technologies.
  • Technical aptitude with a basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Students in their penultimate year (6th semester) pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Project Management, or Computer Science.
  • Interest in learning about Privacy and Compliance.
