About the role
- As a Registered Nurse (Correctional Health) you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on an individual and the community. You will serve as a critical link to identifying the health care needs of the individual patient and promote health and wellbeing.
- You will be responsible for the provision of primary health care, triage and assessment, coordination and delivery of nurse-led clinics, health promotion activities, liaison with the interdisciplinary team, care planning and reviews, conducting health assessments, providing immunisations and chronic disease management. Additionally, the position will work with several Multiple Disciplinary Teams, including Ophthalmology, Radiology and Podiatry.
- The successful applicant will be expected to work 7 days rotating roster.
About you
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.
- Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
