For a student seeking a degree in a field associated with Computer Science, Security or Management Information Systems, provide the opportunity to have an integrated work experience in the healthcare information technology field, and the opportunity to job shadow various positions of interest as well as work on a variety of Healthcare IT projects.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Orientation (2 days).
- Hospital and Information Management.
- Special Projects: (3 months).
- Technical, Application, and Security Assessment.
- Community Benefit.
- Job Shadowing (OJT) ( 5 weeks).
- Project Management.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Requires sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 2 hours at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands. Extensively uses mouse as a computer entry device. Uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends or reaches shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony. Spends considerable time viewing computer screen.

Must be currently enrolled or recently completed a 2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science, Security and/or Engineering.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
0-4 years. Java, C#, .Net or other programming skills nice to have. Aptitude or interest in Project Management Networking, Servers, applications and computer hardware, Data Analysis, Strategic Analysis, IT/Systems, Management Information Systems, Project Management, Building Business Cases with Business Leaders, Operational Workflow Analysis, Requirements Gathering and Reporting, Data Management, Database Management.
