Our Primary Care Center offers comprehensive adult & pediatric care, along with specialized services in obstetrics & gynecology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology, rheumatology, endocrinology, dermatology, and allergy. We collaborate with the hospital's clinical departments to provide care in medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics. The department also contributes to community health through screening and outreach programs that impact thousands annually.
Registered Nurse – HIV/STD Population – Queens – Grant Funded
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care with a focus on positive health outcomes. In our compassionate and collaborative environment, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals to enhance the well-being of patients, families, and communities.
In this exciting role, you'll provide care to a diverse patient population, with a specialized focus on HIV/STD prevention and treatment.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing care for patients living with or at risk for HIV/STDs, ensuring timely screenings and appropriate linkage to care, resources, and prevention services.
- Serving as an RN Navigator to provide guidance and support throughout the patient’s care journey.
- Educating patients on PrEP, prevention strategies, and overall wellness.
- Empowering individuals and families with the knowledge and support needed to take charge of their health.
- Collecting data and guiding patients through HIV, HBV, and HCV testing
This is a full-time, day shift position that is grant-funded for one year. Union registration is required.
Preferred Criteria
- Multi-discipline ambulatory experience
- HIV experience
- Experience in an outpatient setting or with family practice care
- Board certification in ambulatory care
- Familiarity with Nurse Practitioners, especially Family Nurse Practitioners, in an outpatient environment
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Required Criteria
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York State RN License
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
