Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital provides comprehensive surgical services for patients of all ages. With a focus on advanced technology, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience while helping facilitate the best patient experience possible. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering top-quality care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
A caregiver in this position works evenings from 11:00AM – 11:30PM, with one Saturday even six weeks. JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure
- Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
- Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within six months of employment if performing moderate/procedural sedation
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:
- Full range of body motion for handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Standing and walking for extensive periods of time
- Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work
- Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Pushing, pulling and navigating supply carts weighing less than 75 pounds periodically
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures
