Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital provides comprehensive surgical services for patients of all ages. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering top-quality care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.  

A caregiver in this position works evenings from 11:00AM – 11:30PM, with one Saturday even six weeks.  JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.  
• Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure 
• Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. 
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing 
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) 
• One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) 
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within six months of employment if performing moderate/procedural sedation 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Full range of body motion for handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
• Standing and walking for extensive periods of time
• Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work
• Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Pushing, pulling and navigating supply carts weighing less than 75 pounds periodically

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures
