We are looking for an experienced Insights Manager with solid business acumen to join the Global Insights Team as the insights manager for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The successful candidate will proactively uncover and communicate insights about HP’s target customers - who they are, what they need and why, and how HP can address their needs – thereby identifying opportunities for HP brand growth. The insights manager plays a critical role by acting as the "voice of the customer" for the entire CEE team and works closely on a daily basis with the CEE Marketing team, accompanying them along their processes from strategic planning to development of campaigns/activities to tracking of results. The role covers all HP categories and both B2B and B2C audiences.
To ensure the CEE team's activities will be effective and resonate with the target audience, the insights manager will use all insights available, including syndicated and HP proprietary research, market reports etc. The insights manager will also be responsible for initiating and leading new research initiatives, including qualitative (e.g. depth interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g. online surveys) or innovative research methodologies in collaboration with research agency partners.
To be successful, the insights manager needs to be driven by curiosity and the relentless desire to find the best solutions for a wide range of B2B and B2C opportunities. They need to be willing and able to have strategic conversations at all seniority levels, and able to position and communicate relevant insights effectively, so they are understood and used by the stakeholders - the ultimate measure of success for this job. This will require strategic and analytical thinking plus the ability to manage research projects with diligence and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the central point of contact to CEE teams for application of customer insights
Ensure the CEE team’s marketing activities resonate with the target audience and their needs
Proactively communicate relevant customer insights to the CEE team (e.g. new research studies)
Engage and work closely with the CEE marketing team along their planning process, design of marketing campaigns and activities and tracking of how they have resonated with the target.
Initiate, design and lead primary research projects to help ground strategic and tactical business decisions (usually working with an external research agency partner).
Identify research gaps and be responsible for prioritising research needs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
8+ years research and insights experience (qual and quant)
Strong business acumen, ideally good understanding of the technology sector, including PCs/printers
B2B experience preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written communication, writing and delivering impactful presentations and summaries
Demonstrated ability to create and manage the execution of marketing research projects, generate customer and market insights, and tie these insights to actionable business recommendations
Growth mindset with the vision and belief to be able to drive change in a large organisation
Experience and proven track record with qual and quant market research methodologies
TEAM STRUCTURE:
Part of HP’s global marketing organisation, with the role reporting to the head of market insights
Individual contributor role in a geographically diverse team
Main day-to-day business partners/stakeholders/team members located across Europe (primary) and US (secondary).
Occasional international travel may be required
