comprehensive patient care in the inpatient cardiology consult service. As an integral part of our cardiology team, the APRN will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with various cardiovascular conditions. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses. 

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, ensuring that care is aligned with best practices and evidence-based guidelines. 

  • Monitor and manage the ongoing treatment and progress of patients, including medication management, symptom management, and patient education. 

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless and efficient patient care delivery. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inpatient cardiology consultations, providing timely and comprehensive feedback to referring teams. 

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in inpatient cardiology care. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic health records, and ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards. 

  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on inpatient cardiology care protocols and best practices. 

Qualifications: 

  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in [state or region]. 

  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on cardiology. 

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in cardiology or a related field. 

  • Demonstrated experience in providing comprehensive inpatient cardiology care, including patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning. 

  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and procedures, with the ability to interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. 

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while delivering compassionate and patient-centered care. 

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
