St Vincent's Private Werribee is a not-for-profit, private Catholic hospital.  We provide you with the highest quality healthcare, modern facilities and the latest technology. St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee is the fourth hospital to open under the umbrella of St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne, a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.

The Services available in our Werribee private hospital include orthopaedics, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions.  Facilities include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, oncology/infusion unit, 2 wards and a rehabilitation gymnasium.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurses for our Day Oncology Unit based at our Werribee campus. We have a permanent part time position available. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the role will contribute towards the day to day operations that promotes the advancement of clinical practice in the Day Oncology Unit.

The individual must demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, display excellent communication skills and be competent and capable in managing acute situations in a rapidly changing clinical environment.

The successful candidate will have;

  • Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • Chemotherapy administration trained
  • CVAD training essential
  • IV Cannulation competency
  • Post Grad Studies in Cancer Care desirable
  • Experience in a medical Day Oncology setting essential
  • A sound clinical background.
  • Commitment to patient-focused care and teamwork.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and effective problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to changing priorities and environment.
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills.
