• Salary: 42.02 – 54.21 AUD base per hour.

About The Role:

• McAuley ward is a 25 bedded Medical/Surgical Oncology ward. The ward works with a diverse group of specialists which include Breast and GI surgeons and medical oncologists. It has close links with Melanoma Institute Australia.
• This role will be casual and will be pivotal in working with a multidisciplinary collaborative team. You will bring your passion to the role where you will work to provide patient centered care to patients within the philosophy, mission and values of St Vincent’s health Australia.
• The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring that all patient care delivered is done by adhering to policies and procedures of the Mater Hospital and St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA).

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing along with current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrate recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical Oncology ward or a desire to work in the area.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team.
• Computer literacy skills and a proven ability to use Health Information Systems.
• Sound knowledge of Department of Health Guidelines and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety, Infection Control and their impact on the delivery of care.

About The Mater:

In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.

• One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals.
• Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
• The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
• Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
