We are seeking a Full-time, 40-hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Family Medicine office located at 10 Members Way # 203, Dover, NH 03820. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The weekly schedule will consist of 32 hours of clinical, patient-facing time and 8 hours of administrative time. Many of our providers work (4) 10-hour days per week and this is an available option, however we are requiring that Friday be a patient-facing, clinical day for this hire.
Our office provides physical examinations, routine health screenings, and preventative care for patients of all ages. The goal is to identify and control patients' health risk factors before they become problems. We diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and promote general health, disease prevention and overall well-being. In addition to offering traditional primary care visits, this practice also offers same day sick appointments. With this model, providers work autonomously to the top of their licensure while also functioning as part of a team. We have various embedded providers on-site at our practice including integrated behavioral health, ambulatory pharmacy, an RN case manager, a social worker, a care manager, and a certified diabetes educator.

Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.Does this position require Patient Care? Yes
Essential Functions
-Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting.
-Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
-Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
-Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
-Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
-Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
-Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
