Are you an experienced critical care RN looking to work closer to home in a Magnet-recognized community hospital

We have a great opportunity in a newly created role as a Rapid Response Nurse, who will be responsible for caring for acute care patients at the Saints Campus of Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital, and will coordinate transfer to a higher level of care, as needed.
 

Schedule:
3 12 hour shifts 7p-7a Tues- Fri  availability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the AC for daily assignments and critical care needs. 

  • Carry ascom phone to facilitate communication.

  • Round on units and assist as a resource for staff for medication administration, documentation, IV insertions and patient care.

  • Respond to rapid responses, code blues, stemi activations, stroke activations, and code greens.

  • Assists in maintaining rapid and code data collection.

  • May be called upon to accompany/transport a monitored patient to testing or designated area.

  • May be assigned to facilitate admissions, discharges or transport to assigned units.

  • Assist in emergent procedure as skills allow on assigned units

  • Work with staff to ensure and exceptional patient experience and effectively collaborate with physician colleagues and other clinicians to facilitate patient care

  • Assist staff with procedures, policies, and care of patients on the inpatient floors.  Readily adapt to change and welcome new approaches when circumstances demand.JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW

  • May take a temporary patient assignment (ex for imaging and transfers to other units and during rapid responses).

  • Work closely with staff to develop an environment that promotes staff growth, role competency and proficiency in nursing skills/critical thinking.

Qualifications:

  • Current ICU, ED or equivalent critical care experience is required (one year minimum)

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Valid BLS and ACLS required

  • BSN preferred
