Clinical Nurse I - RN - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Nights

At NewYork-Presbyterian, Surgical intensive Care unit Nurses are at the

forefront of a bold new era in compassionate care. The SICU is a 16 bed unit providing care to patients over the age of eighteen years, primarily, with life threatening or unstable status requiring intensive monitoring and interventional support. Typical patient diagnoses include transplant recipients ( liver, kidney, pancreas, small bowel), vascular procedures, thoracic, abdominal, ear, nose and throat and gynecologic and obstetrical surgical procedures. The unit provides care for multi ethnic population base with diverse cultural and spiritual

backgrounds. You will part of the staff that manage symptoms, support patients and educate families, all while serving as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams.

This is a full time 3 12 hour shifts position at NewYork-Presbyterian/ Columbia University Medical Center. Weekends are a possibility based on scheduling.

Preferred Criteria

• CCRN certified
• Critical care experience  

Required Criteria

• At least one year of acute care RN experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
• BCLS certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
