Job Summary
McLean Hospital is seeking to fill a psychopharmacologist position with the Trauma Continuum of Care, which includes both outpatient and partial hospital services for treatment of trauma-related disorders including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Dissociative Disorders including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW
Outpatient services include individual, couple’s and group psychotherapy services for adults who have experienced trauma. Evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) and medication management services are offered to trauma survivors on a time-limited basis.
Partial hospital services focus on group treatment that serves those who are just beginning their trauma recovery process and those with prior exposure to trauma treatment who may be struggling due to life circumstances or exacerbation of trauma symptoms.

Licenses and Credentials
Nurse Practitioner [NP] / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] [MA]
Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse in the Advanced Practice role. DEA and DPH licensure for those in the prescribing role.
Experience
Minimum of 24 months experience working as a staff nurse in an adult inpatient psychiatric setting or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The Advanced Practice Nurse working in the Trauma Continuum of Care is responsible for providing initial evaluation, treatment planning, and psychopharmacological services for assigned patients. They may also provide individual and/or group psychotherapy services as assigned.
1. Provides comprehensive assessment of patient’s current health status, and indication for psychopharmacological interventions.
2. Completes all initial orders for patient, including medications, privileges, consultations, diet, laboratory work, etc.
(Advanced Practice Nurses with prescriptive authority privileges)
3. Completes required documentation in a thorough, timely manner.
6. Contributes to effective interpersonal and community relations to ensure quality of patient care, and to promote a positive image of McLean Hospital.
Must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.
