Job Description:
Hewlett Packard Enterprise offers university students the opportunity to join a leading IT company and gain invaluable experience through our Internship Program (minimum of 5 months). Hewlett Packard Enterprise offers you a highly dynamic, fast-paced, professional working environment and the chance to develop the skills you have gained at university in a real business environment. During your internship you will not only apply these skills in the IT industry, but also acquire a range of abilities to contribute to the business whilst working alongside industry professionals. Throughout the program, you'll have regular training and one-to-one meetings with your manager. Working together, you'll set goals and plot your development. And with our open-plan offices and friendly working culture, you'll have the chance to learn from senior managers who can help you in your future career.

Location: Amstelveen (hybrid working model)
What you’ll do :
During your internship you will be part of the HPE Defense Industry team for North & Western Europe. You will work closely with the Head of the Defense Industry vertical, based out of The Netherlands.
- The Defense Industry, driven by geopolitical factors, is fast changing towards the ‘Digital Army concept’: AI, Drones, Robotics, secure private Cloud, real time ‘situational’ analytics& information, multi-dimensional networks and communications.
- The above is leading to an increase on Defense spending for 2026 to 2030
- New country regulations (sovereignty) open discussions on what -confidential- data can be shared or not. Where is data stored and who has access to these data.
- HPE are looking for an intern who can make a business analysis for 2026 to 2030 based on
- IT spend of Defense (in other words: which % of Defense is IT related and addressable for HPE)
- Create a HPE value proposition for Defense based on HPE product portfolio
- HPE Competitive analysis
- Business case of estimated of Defense Investments
What you’ll need:
- We are not looking for an IT specialist
- Candidate should have a genuine interest in the application possibilities of Cloud Computing, AI, (5G) private networks
- A broad interest to approach a business case holistically: from a technology angle, economic, legal, sales & marketing.
- The candidate should be comfortable in presenting her/his work including the right skills to create a presentation etc.

- The desire to embrace new ideas and fresh thinking and seek out ideas different than your own
- Comfort with working in a hybrid (virtual and face-to-face) environment
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to ask smart questions
