Job Description
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University, Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center and Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine, offers an internship program in Food Animal Internal Medicine. The clinical program in food animal and camelid medicine and surgery is designed to provide advanced clinical training on individual animal and herd-based diseases, experience in clinical teaching, exposure to research techniques and the opportunity to conduct clinically oriented research. The training will focus on clinical as well as basic physiological and pathophysiological aspects of domestic food animal and camelids to strengthen the individual's preparation for a food animal and camelid medicine residency or private practice. Required Minimum Qualifications:
DVM, Graduate of an AVMA-accredited College of Veterinary Medicine in the US Licensed or eligible to become licensed in the State of Iowa.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous practice experience
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
