At Mass General Brigham, we know it takes a surprising range of talented professionals to advance our mission—from doctors, nurses, business people and tech experts, to dedicated researchers and systems analysts. As a not-for-profit organization, Mass General Brigham is committed to supporting patient care, research, teaching, and service to the community. We place great value on being a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization as we aim to reflect the diversity of the patients we serve.
At Mass General Brigham, we believe a diverse set of backgrounds and lived experiences makes us stronger by challenging our assumptions with new perspectives that can drive revolutionary discoveries in medical innovations in research and patient care. Therefore, we invite and welcome applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups in healthcare — people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ community, and/or gender expansive, first and second-generation immigrants, veterans, and people from different socioeconomic backgrounds – to apply.
Are you a talented, compassionate, dedicated nurse ready to join a culture where nurses are supported with evidence-based cardiac nursing practice and nursing research is embraced? If so then there’s no better place to be than Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). MGH is seeking RNs to join our Magnet®-designated nursing team in our state-of-the-art multidisciplinary intensive care unit. Ellison 9 Cardiac ICU is a patient and family centered 16 bed adult unit serving critically ill cardiac ICU patients. The most common diagnoses and/or interventions are: hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon counter pulsation, ventricular assist devices, CVVH, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, recovery from coronary procedures, including percutaneous aortic and mitral valve replacement, recovery from acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure and/or multiple organ dysfunction/failure. A multi-disciplinary team approach is focused on the psychosocial and emotional support of the patients and their families. We work each day to achieve our vision: to provide excellent, quality care to patients and families that is supported by a highly skilled and compassionate team in the safest environment.
Our nurses are authentic leaders within our hospital—revered for their clinical wisdom, valued as colleagues and recognized for the tremendous contributions they make to elevate patient care and enhance our capabilities.
