Your New Role...
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Intern to join the CNN Communications APAC team, based in Singapore. You'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to get a behind-the-scenes look into how the world's leading international news brand operates. It will be a great opportunity to strengthen your research and communication skills while contributing ideas to future publicity campaigns.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Support external communication outreach
Draft and distribute press release to relevant APAC contacts
Assist in research when preparing briefing notes for anchors / correspondents / executives for media interviews and speaking engagements
Manage CNN media lists for distribution purposes
Understand the target audience of the press releases and pitch to relevant media
Media Relations
Actively develop journalist relationships and keep track of media movements and new publications.
Coverage reports
Monitor print and on-line media for CNN coverage and follow industry trends
Compile and distribute CNN coverage reports
Agency support
Manage communication between team and PR agencies
Social Media
Draft and publish social media posts on social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn
Continually monitor social media activity
Others
Handle requests from other regions (EMEA, the U.S. and LATAM)
Handle administrative tasks such as invoices, vendor contracts
Qualifications & Experience...
Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Communications or Public Relations or related disciplines
Excellent command of written and spoken English. Other Asian languages is a plus
Excellent communication skills and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment
Active user of the internet and well versed with social media platforms
Organized, detail oriented and an independent team player who is able to prioritize tasks and deadlines
Strong proficiency in Microsoft (Office, PowerPoint and Excel)
Interested applicants must be able to commit for a minimum of 3 months full-time, starting from May/June 2025. Applicants must also be enrolled at a University/Polytechnic during the internship period and have the right to work in Singapore.
