Finance Intern – Summer 2025
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Intern to join the Finance team at Marymount University for the summer. This internship provides valuable exposure to financial operations and business processes. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, assist with day-to-day financial tasks, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with financial data entry, account reconciliations, and budget tracking.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting processes.
Help analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.
Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Conduct research and compile data for special projects and audits.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.
Perform other administrative or finance-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior internship or relevant experience is a plus.
Knowledge of financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
Duration: This is a full-time, paid internship ($15/hour) for 5 weeks, starting on May 12, 2025, and ending on June 13, 2025.
