Overview
Reports to and serves as primary assistant to the Nurse Manager in the coordination/management of patient care and the organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating of services provided with a core focus on facility and associated departments. Provides leadership, direction and mentorship/support to the staffing needs for the designated specialty area(s). As a Clinical Expert, ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence, age-specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Required)

Experience
  • 2 years Registered Nurse experience in hospital setting (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state (Required) and
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required) and
  • ACLS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) For PACU, ACLS is required within 90 days (Preferred) and
  • PALS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Preferred)
  • Specialty Nursing Certification (e.g. CNOR, CEN, CMSRN, etc.) Upon Hire (Preferred)
