The IT Internship is designed for a student seeking a degree in a field associated with Computer Science, Security or Management Information Systems to provide the opportunity to have an integrated work experience in the healthcare information technology field, and the opportunity to job shadow various positions of interest as well as work on a variety of Healthcare IT projects.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General exposure to IT processes, procedures and daily operational support with responsibilities and assignments that expose and build experience and skills related to IT technical support and security departments.
- Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
- Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.

- Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Requires sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 2 hours at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands. Extensively uses mouse as a computer entry device. Uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends or reaches shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony. Spends considerable time viewing computer screen.
EDUCATION
Must be currently enrolled or recently completed a 2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science, Security and/or Engineering.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
0-4 years. Java, C#, .Net or other programming skills nice to have. Aptitude or interest in Project Management Networking, Servers, applications and computer hardware, Data Analysis, Strategic Analysis, IT/Systems, Management Information Systems, Project Management, Building Business Cases with Business Leaders, Operational Workflow Analysis, Requirements Gathering and Reporting, Data Management, Database Management
