Key Accountabilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work on various projects including hospital, clinical and business support initiatives.
- Assist leadership in various technical aspects of planning, designing, and execution of projects.
- Attend project progress meetings with leaders and staff
- Assist leaders to develop standardized process workflows and define in-house practice and to improve quality and productivity
- Develop and implement measurement tools that include productivity, clinical outcomes, quality, patient experience, and revenue cycle metrics by provider
- Develop and design department and provider dashboards
- Utilize QOS/Process improvement initiatives. Build Pareto charts, work though current opportunities with leader regarding readmissions, Length of Stay, and mortality.
- Develop internal medical specialties knowledge base resource for the operational teams to reference to implement highly reliable processes
- Communicate effectively and collaborating with teams and team members
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in Bachelor or Graduate program
- Project management skillset in managing projects from ideation to executive
- Process improvement experience in working with teams to understand current state and design future state, utilizing project management skills to execute initiative(s)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Visio
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to a wide range of audiences
- Team-oriented to keep productive, efficient, and on-task
- Ability to work in fast paced and dynamic environment
- Independent and able to manage multiple tasks
- Desire and ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Education: Current enrollment in Bachelor or Graduate program
Experience: Prior experience working in project management, process improvement, data analytics is preferred.
Physical Demands
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
- Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
Work Environment
- Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility
- Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
- Use of computers throughout work day
- Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist and fingers
