Pay Range:
The base pay range for this position is
$130,000.00-$140,000.00 Annualhowever, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position Overview:
Our hospital medicine practice consists of clinical care, teaching & education, and system and quality improvements in two environments: Pullman Regional Hospital and Avalon Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). We are partnered with Avalon SNF to provide transitional and primary care to those residents for whom the hospitalist is responsible. The ideal candidate will have varied acute care skills in addition to an interest in working with skilled nursing, transitional care, and/or geriatrics. The position may also be required to work in other departments within the hospital.
A Day in the Life:
- Performs a complete history and physical examination for acute and complex chronically ill patients. JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW
- Documents key components of patient's progress via H&P, daily progress note, transfer, and discharge summary, and or acute event notes as applicable. Documentation is timely, meets compliance standards and accurately captures patient status.
- Orders and collects data using appropriate assessment techniques, relevant supporting diagnostic information and diagnostic procedures where indicated.
- Assesses for risks associated with the care of the acute and complex chronically ill patient including: medication side effects, immobility, impaired nutrition, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, skin integrity, and social/transitional care needs.
- May attend rounds with the attending physician and healthcare team, collaborate in plan of care, and follow assigned patient population throughout the day.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care team to formulate differential diagnoses by priority and relevance. Identifies expected outcomes from differential diagnoses and formulates and documents a plan of care to address complex acute and chronic health care needs.
- Diagnoses acute and complex chronic conditions, manage diagnostic tests and orders appropriate interventions through collaboration with attending physician.
- Prescribes diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic, as needed to achieve expected outcomes.
- Manages further diagnostic tests through ordering, interpretation, performance, and supervision.
- Utilizes evidenced-based practice guidelines in the facilitation of the patient’s individualized and dynamic plan of care.
About You!
This Job is For You if You Have:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Must hold licensure as either a registered professional nurse and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner, or as a Physician Assistant in the state of Washington.
- Must have or obtain certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Those applying should have current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration and current Prescriptive Authority approval by state of Washington.
- Able to work independently but also team oriented.
- Should have the ability to relate and communicate well with the elderly, be able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers.
