Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia is hiring a Full Time RN (Registered Nurse) to join our ICU (Intensive Care) Team!

Note: Our interviews consist of a one-hour meeting with the hiring manager and a three-hour experience with our staff.  We want to get to know you better!

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty.

Shift Available

• Full Time, 36 hours per week
• Night Shift 7pm - 7am

Education

• RN-Associate’s Degree
• RN-Bachelor’s Degree
• RN-Diploma
• RN-Master’s Degree

License and Certification

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within one (1) year of hire

Experience

• Prefer Registered Nurses with experience in acute care. May consider new grad RNs if already licensed.
