Nurse Scientist PHD or DNP RN - Per diem -Days

Use your doctoral level education to promote Nursing research at New York Presbyterian Hospital . You will engage nurses to participate in research studies and EBP projects; mentor nurses in the conduct of research through preparation of research studies and application of the research process and assist nurses in accessing and submitting research protocols to Institutional Review Board.

You will facilitate the conduct of research among nurses at NYP to further their professional development, advance nursing science and scholarship, and improve patient outcomes/care. and be  responsible for managing assigned campuses, which includes setting research/EBP goals and objectives according to the NYP strategic initiatives and planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring activities. The Nurse Scientist   coordinates and evaluates the effectiveness of research activities on assigned campuses and implements a campus strategic plan relevant to NYP initiatives while developing professional and support staff in establishing an environment where staff and patients can reach their full potential.

This is a per diem position . 4 shifts per month requirement

Essential and Required Criteria:

• Prior Nursing Research Experience and IRB submittal
• PhD in Nursing Research or MSN with completion of a PhD within a year
• 2 yrs clinical nursing experience
• demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• NYS license
• Current AHA BLS

Salary Range:

$80.00/Hour

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
