Sentara Brock Cancer Center, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring a part time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiology Oncology Team.
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. BSN or MSN preferred. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty.
In this role you will coordinate care, provide patient education, and function as an intake nurse. You will also assist with special procedures involving radioactive material and IVs.

Shift Available
- 24 hours per week, Part-Time
- 8-hour day shifts but may be required to stay later based on patient needs
- Start time is generally 7:30 a.m.
Education
- Associate’s Degree, or
- RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or
- RN-Diploma, or
- RN-Master’s Degree
Certification/Licensure
- BLS within 6 months
- Virginia or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse license in good standing
Experience
- Oncology or Radiation Oncology experience preferred.
- Not considering new grad RNs at this time.
