JOB DESCRIPTION:
Outreach intern-
• Work together with the Outreach Director, Communications and Clinic Director.
• Assist in marketing strategies that increase visibility of the clinic in community, with a focus on the local military and veterans’ community.
• Attend weekly or designated meetings with the Outreach Director and Communications.
• Design social media content in collaboration with Communications.
• Assist with managing the local advertising for the clinic including locating and coordinating radio, newspaper, television and any speaking opportunities for the Clinic or Outreach Director in the community.
What's required
• Enrollment in a bachelor or master's degree program in communications, marketing, business, journalism, media, graphic design or related field.
• Must be able to participate in required clinic trainings
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.
• Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher, Access and PowerPoint.
• Sound time management practices and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to provide follow-thru on all projects or duties.
• Knowledge of outreach and marketing strategies.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.
• Military background preferred.
