Job Description

The Provider Data Reporting team at BCBST delivers high-quality data insights to support provider operations in Tennessee, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. We seek a talented and motivated intern to join our team as a Reporting/Data Analyst, ideal for students in Data Analytics, Information Management, Data Science, or related fields. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced data professionals, gaining hands-on experience to kickstart their data analytics career. You will contribute to meaningful projects, working with tools like SQLServer, SSRS, SSIS, and Tableau to analyze and report data. While full-time commitment is preferred, we offer flexibility to accommodate your class schedule. This fully remote position includes comprehensive training through MS Teams to help you excel in your role.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Active college student (in an accredited college or university) who has completed a minimum of two years of college are eligible.
• Recent college graduates and students enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral program (in an accredited college or university) are also eligible.
• Must provide transcripts.
• Active full-time BCBST employees are not eligible to participate in the program.

Experience

• Varies based on line of business. Please see Job Specific Requirements section below for this internship’s specific responsibilities and preferred qualifications.

Skills/Certifications

• Able to prioritize, work independently, and effectively manage time and resources.
• Effective communication skills: written and verbal.
• Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Appropriate decision making skills required.

GPA requirement

• Must have a 2.75 GPA or higher

This intern position will be responsible for

 - running report schedule each day.

- Triage of work assignments that come in to the general mailbox.
