Registered Nurse Manager

A registered professional nurse who works in a cooperative and consultative relationship with the Department Director and assumes the primary responsibilities for the administration of nursing services within their department.

Essential Duties:

• Provides clinical leadership to all nursing staff and ancillary staff for department
• Implements new policies and procedures for department
• Provides mutual support, effective and efficient planning, and teamwork
• Assumes responsibility for human resource functions within the department in the absence of the Director

• Ensures staff accountability through staff development, evaluation, and counseling

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with current licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required
• BSN preferred
• Five years clinical experience and successful performances are mandatory
