• Prepares and submits ENdo/Diabetes prior authorizations.
• Provides letters, school & medication forms, and other documentation as requested.
• Renewal of prescription refills to pharmacies
• Education of patients and families regarding pediatric endocrinology and medications commonly used.
• Work with and support pediatric endocrinologists as needed
• Diabetes education , CDCES desired or willingness to sit for the exam within the first year of employment.

Job Summary
Summary<br>Responsible for patient care and support within our hospital's outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>Yes<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards. <br>-Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety. <br>
-Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care. <br>
-Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. <br>
-Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations. <br>
-Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. <br>
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required and Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required and Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
